Echoes of Eternity was written sporadically throughout the year of 2018. The writing had initially started the year prior with the recordings of “The Happy Fading Faces” and “Taste of Chaos”, but it wasn’t until the following year that things had proceeded to move forward. “I was just at a point where I needed to prove something to myself. More than anyone else, I knew I had to be able to prove to myself that I could do it. That I could have a vision for something, and actually follow through. And deliver on all ends with where I was at that point in time.” - Trey

SONG MEANINGS
The Happy Fading Faces

There was only one other thing I took during my time I worked at Hastings [Entertainment Superstore]. I remember always roaming the Books department for inspiration. Some of the titles seemed to make for multidimensional concepts I knew I could explore further on. I did the same in Video department as well, which is where ended up discovering the name Sin Seer to begin with...
But to be completely honest, I can’t recall exactly what title it was that led me, but I do remember it was a combination of two or three different tiles. Anyway, I ended up on “The Happy Fading Faces” because it reminded me of where I was with my life at that particular point. Becoming so jaded after an earth-shattering loss really put many things into perspective for me. Sort of like looking under the rock finally, and realizing some of the coldest reality checks are underneath. I always refer to childhood as one big playground that’s bright and adventurous. That’s what society likes its youth to be believe. Or, at least it used to.

Turning The Page

This was the final song written by for the EP. The intro has always stood out to me in such a way unlike any of the others. I think of all the songs, this one became the most emotionally draining for me. Every other song told a story, or spoke a message of some sort. This one was different. Something that just happened and that’s what came out. I couldn’t really tell you… It was just a complete outpour of my thoughts onto the canvas, as they say. I was just so ready to move on. I was ready to make the change. There is something to be said about facing adversity head on, and coming to terms with the fact that you will do whatever it takes to make it though. Desperation was kicking in.. I knew something had to give, something had to change. I could feel it. And I was more than ready to turn the page.

Echoes of Eternity

Where it all began… “Echoes of Eternity” was originally written by Cameron whenever we were back in high school. I remember very vividly walking around town at night listening to that original instrumental. I knew, even then, that Cameron really had an ear and a gift for amazing melodies. There was something about it that was so moving. Even to this day… I can still hear that, and immediately be taken back. The song went through different phases throughout the years. It is kind of telling looking back in hindsight that that song turned out to last all this time despite no other material was retained at the time.
